Loy Marks earned Bachelor and Master of Music degrees
from Montana State University and Temple University, respectively.
She has also studied music at Indiana University and the Aspen Music
Festival. Loy is a former state winner of the MTNA Collegiate Strings
Competition, the MSU Concerto Competition, and recipient of the
Max Arnoff Prize for excellence in graduate string studies. She
is a member of the Missoula Symphony and a former member of the
Bozeman and Billings Symphonies. In addition to being a trained
Suzuki teacher, Loy is also a licensed Musikgarten instructor. She
currently runs a private violin and viola studio from her home in
Missoula and teaches group classes for the Center for Music by People with Disabilities. |
