Dr. Margaret Nichols Baldridge maintains an active teaching and performance schedule . The violin and viola professor at the University of Montana since 1992, she is a sought after teacher, performer and adjudicator abroad and across the United States. In April Dr. Baldridge judged the Palestinian National Music Competition in Jerusalem. From 1998-2007 Dr. Baldridge was violin faculty at the internationally acclaimed Brevard Music Center, Brevard, North Carolina. As violinist in the Sapphire Trio, Dr. Baldridge has performed and taught in Israel, Palestine, Germany, Austria, Japan, Ireland and across the United States. During 2006, the Sapphire Trio were Cultural Ambassadors for the State Department Funded tour of Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The trio performed at Embassies, schools and at the Kuwait International Music Festival. In Montana Dr. Baldridge is concertmaster of the Missoula Symphony, Leader of the String Orchestra of the Rockies and violinist in the Montana Piano Trio. |
