Amy Letson is originally from Buffalo, NY, where she studied viola and violin with members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. She has a Bachelor of Music degree in viola performance from Indiana University, where she studied with Georges Janzer. While in Indiana, Amy served as principal violist in the Bloomington Symphony and was a member of the Anderson and Muncie Symphonies and the Marion Philharmonic. Currently, she is principal violist and librarian of the Billings Symphony, plays several concerts a year with the Yellowstone Chamber Players, and maintains a small private studio in Billings. When she is not playing viola, she enjoys International Folk and Morris dancing as well as reading and gardening. |
