Jennifer Smith is a member of the Cascade Quartet and Principal Violist of the Great Falls Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Smith completed doctoral studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she served as a teaching assistant to Heidi Castleman. Prior degrees were received at the Yale School of Music and Peabody Conservatory.
Ms. Smith has performed both nationally and internationally at numerous festivals which include the Aspen Music Festival, the Banff Center of the Arts (Canada), Evian (France), and Spoleto (Italy) music festivals. She has been on the faculty of the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop at Humboldt State University in California, has been published in the "American String Teacher" magazine, performs annually with the Chanticleer Quartet in Indiana, and has been awarded a Professional Development Grant from the Montana Arts Council (1999). |
